Reading Your Name in My Inbox

under the canopy between my pelvic peaks
cumulous clouds turn themselves inside out
exhaling convex puffs that multiply and expand
to settle in the basin of my belly
waiting with little sighs
to be called to the surface by the moment
of your tongue (on my lips)
(your breath) on my neck
your voice (at the base of my skull)
rum-tumbling slowly down ladders of vertebrae
to melt in the marrow of my core
